Name: Lynette Anderson

Brief personal introduction: I am a HS Special Education Teacher at Witt-Birn. I will be starting my 4th year of teaching and have the whole gamet of students. I enjoy working with students and preparing them for every day life. I also enjoy sports and coach MS girls basketball.


Overview of content/topic level of unit plan:

Students have a hard time making connections to the "real world". They struggle with realizing what is realistic and what isn't. Students don't understand that although they may want to rent the duplex that is $800 along with having a nice car, which would involve making payments, the cell phone, the internet, and all the "fun stuff"; that working only part time at minimum wage, because they want to have free time to hang out with their friends, isn't going to cut it. Students would be asked to choose a career and a lifestyle and then create and follow a budget. Students would then be asked to reflect and assess what they have learned not only about budgeting but about themselves as well.

How do I add an Image or File to My Page?

    1. Select Edit tab then Click the File icon.
    2. Use the "Upload Files" button or "External Image" tab to select the image or file you wish to put on your page.
    3. Put the cursor at the position on the page where you wish to put the image or file.
    4. Click the image or file to put it on the page.
